HD Squared Architects, LLC in Annapolis, MD seeks an Architectural Designer II to join a mission-driven team. The role blends BIM expertise with sustainable design for residential and waterfront projects, offering growth toward licensure.

You’ll work independently within a collaborative environment, producing BIM models, construction docs, and interior elevations while supporting design development and client coordination.

Qualifications

• Architecture degree from NAAB-accredited program.
• 3-5 years professional experience in an architecture firm.
• Strong Revit proficiency.
• Experience with construction detailing and technical documentation.
• Working knowledge of building codes.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Bluebeam.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Passion for sustainable design and collaborative team culture.

Responsibilities

• Create BIM models and construction documents in Revit for all project phases.
• Develop construction details, site plans with topography and regulatory constraints.
• Conduct site visits and create as-built drawings (manual or Lidar-assisted).
• Coordinate consultant information into architectural drawings.
• Assist with code research, specifications, cost estimates, and municipal compliance calculations.
• Support construction administration including reviewing submittals and site observations.
• Create renderings and presentation materials from design sketches.
• Assist with design competition entries and marketing graphics.
• Develop interior elevations and material selections.
