Apprentices will work on a variety of agricultural enterprises which include organic vegetable production, orchard management, mushroom production, and other seasonal agricultural tasks on the Eden Hall campus.Each week and shift will be different depending on the farm's seasonal needs. Employees will work collaboratively with crews to accomplish tasks such as identifying pests, determining soil amendments, planting in greenhouse, and working with Parkhurst to determine harvesting plans. In the winter, we also tap maple trees and manage our organic orchards.Shift logistics:Shifts run Monday to Friday from 9-12 and 1-4 for farm tasks. Students can work up to 19 hours a week and they can also work as little as two shifts (5-6 hours) a week.Essential skills:Collaboration, active listening, excitement about hands-on work and working outdoors in all weather conditionsAll current student employees should notify their other manager(s) if you work multiple jobs on campus at the same time. Additionally, students may not work more than 20 hours per week (combined between all campus jobs) during the academic year.
