Job summary

Chatham University is seeking a Graduate Student Employment role for a Food Programming Assistant to collaborate with Food Studies faculty and support Summer initiatives, events, and Bread Oven training at Eden Hall Campus. Some work may be off-site, with reliable transportation required.

You will help plan events, assist with communications and social media, and coordinate logistics with FSSE, FST, and farm teams. This is a part-time student position aimed at supporting campus activities.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Canva and social media platforms.
  • Hospitality or event management experience is a plus.
  • Must have reliable transportation to Eden Hall.

Role Overview

Food Programming Assistant will work closely with Food Studies faculty to develop and assist with activities and events for summer and aid in continuity with Bread Oven training and use. Program Assistant will help with summer initiatives, events, and activities, as well as planning and support for future terms. This is a Graduate Student Employment position. Students in this position will work at the Eden Hall Campus for the Falk School with some portion of the work being done independently and off site. Must have reliable transportation to Eden Hall.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Knowledge of CANVA, social media platforms, previous hospitality or event management experience a plus.
  • Must have reliable transportation to Eden Hall.
Employment Terms
  • All current student employees should notify their other manager(s) if you work multiple jobs on campus at the same time.
  • Students may not work more than 20 hours per week (combined between all campus jobs) during the academic year.
  • Students may not exceed 980 work hours per calendar year.
  • Student jobs do not automatically roll over to the next academic year or summer.
