Job summary

WM is seeking a growth-focused professional to drive WM Sustainability Services through differentiated value propositions, pricing strategy, and proactive proposals. You will engage WM Sales, target customers, and develop plans for prospecting and closing deals in a team-sell environment, while collaborating with WM internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Environmental Science, Sustainability or similar; or GED with four years relevant experience.
• High School Diploma or GED plus four years of relevant work experience.
• 5 years of relevant work experience in marketing and/or business development in the services industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop marketing plans and maintain prospect data in the database.
• Maintain sales pipeline to achieve new sales goals.
• Match services with customer needs including pricing and competition insights; communicate pricing and service strategies.
• Identify partner suppliers and maintain a database of potential projects based on market analysis.
• Interface with WM business segment partners to resolve customer issues.
• Conduct feasibility studies on infrastructure, pricing, permitting, and operations.
• Perform market analysis and provide strategic recommendations.
• Establish a network of industry contacts to identify projects.
• Prepare proposals and manage contract negotiations.
• Stay updated on market trends, sustainability topics, and internal sales strategies.
• Deliver customized sales presentations and proposals; support marketing efforts for projects.
• Solicit grant funding from partners and oversee grant processes.
• Promote WM outreach at trade shows and conferences.
