Job summary

The NYC Department of Design and Construction, Division of Infrastructure is seeking a Coordinator (Sustainability) to join the Sustainable Coordination team and help plan and implement sustainable, resilient, and equitable design and construction. The role involves data analysis, creating tools and guidelines, workshops, and coordinating with internal and external entities.

The selected candidate will assist with Envision project certifications through Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 1 year of project management experience.
• Or a high school diploma with five years of project management experience as described.
• One year of credit for college coursework toward a bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement sustainable, resilient, and equitable design and construction.
• Create tools and guidelines, conduct workshops and presentations.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, landscape architects, operators, and community boards.
• Assist with Envision project certifications and ISI interactions.
• Analyze infrastructure design, develop policies to support design excellence; identify risks.
• Maintain project portfolio records and coordinate schedules across phases.
