Job summary

City of New York seeks a Coordinator (Sustainability) within the NYC Department of Design and Construction, Division of Infrastructure, to support sustainable, resilient, and equitable design and construction in line with PlaNYC 2023.

The role involves data analysis, developing tools and guidelines, coordinating with engineers, architects, and community boards, and assisting with Envision ISI certifications while shaping policy and project scoping through all phases.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in civil engineering.
• A Master’s degree in civil engineering is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and implementation of sustainable, resilient, and equitable design and construction.
• Assist with Envision project certifications through ISI.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, landscape architects, operators and community boards.
• Analyze infrastructure design and master planning for sustainable design; help develop policies.
• Support project scoping, design, procurement and construction phases; maintain project records.
