Job summary

The NYC Department of Design and Construction, Division of Infrastructure, seeks a Deputy Director to join the Construction Management 2 – Southeast Queens – Section 2 team. This role oversees an annual capital program valued at over $300 million and leads professionals on sewer, water main, roadway, and public space improvements.

Responsibilities include plan review, stakeholder coordination, contract compliance, and timely payments. The candidate must be U.S.

Qualifications

• Six+ years of construction management on capital projects.
• Eighteen months in a managerial or consultative capacity in a management org.
• Education and/or licensure per NYC rules; NYPE/Architect license substituted as allowed.

Responsibilities

• Review construction plans and resolve field issues with sponsor agencies and utilities.
• Ensure contract compliance and timely contractor & consultant payments.
• Lead staff training and participate in agency task forces and annual reporting.
