Job summary

Sustainable Comfort, Inc. (SCI) is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead field maintenance for a Worcester portfolio during development, lease-up, and ongoing operations. You will coordinate repairs, safety, and cost control while partnering with the Property Manager to respond to tenant needs.

You will develop procedures for inspections, move-in/out processes, and proactive maintenance, ensuring accountability and timely communication with owners and residents.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, real estate, business, or related field.
Field experience in building trades: labor, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry.
OSHA 10-Hour Card within 90 days of employment.
Valid driver’s license in Massachusetts.

Responsibilities

Interpret tenant requests by assessing urgency and response needed.
Keep stakeholders informed of progress, delays, or changes to scope or cost.
Document all maintenance operations and policies; ensure defensible records.
Minimize expenses; monitor reports and ensure staff and subcontractors stay within budget.
Coordinate planned improvements for property owners and asset plans.
Support move-in/move-out inspections and tenant relations.
