U.S. Electrical Testing is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead arc flash and power system studies across facilities. You will build models, analyze power systems, and generate reports that support safety and compliance.

The role blends hands-on data collection with client-facing guidance and cross-functional collaboration. You will apply NFPA 70E, IEEE standards, and relevant NEC guidance, while delivering actionable recommendations.

Competenze

• 2+ years of work experience with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering; 0+ years with a Master of Science.
• Experience leading troubleshooting, commissioning, and testing projects in power systems.
• Experience in electrical engineering focusing on existing buildings and infrastructure.
• Security clearance required: U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Top-Secret clearance.
• Knowledge of electrical power and distribution systems.
• Experience interpreting electrical drawings, utility coordination, and protective relaying schemes.

Mansioni

• Perform detailed arc flash hazard analysis per IEEE 1584 and NFPA 70E.
• Perform short-circuit, protective device coordination, and load flow studies.
• Perform power quality analysis to identify issues at facilities.
• Develop electrical system models using SKM, PowerTools, ETAP, or EasyPower.
• Collect and interpret site data, including one-line diagrams and equipment ratings.
• Develop and update electrical one-line diagrams for client facilities.
• Prepare and review arc flash reports, with incident energy calculations and PPE levels.
• Provide technical guidance on electrical safety compliance and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with field technicians, safety personnel, and PMs for data and project execution.
• Contribute to training materials on electrical safety and arc flash awareness.
