Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Intern to collaborate with our Environmental Services teams in Denver, CO. You will support project work across multiple market segments, helping with filing, data entry, and presentation tasks while engaging in continuous improvement efforts.

The role emphasizes strong communication, analytical problem solving, and proactive learning. Ideal candidates are pursuing an engineering degree with campus/community involvement and a 3.0+ GPA.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field from a recognized, accredited program required.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
• Actively involved in campus, community or other volunteer activities or organizations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with tasks that may include filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and Power Point presentation.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts by collecting and analyzing data.
• Present solutions to concerns.
• Research solutions to project concerns; analyze and recommend solutions to problems.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
