Job Title: Associate - Culinary Arts

Work Environment: The physical demands include walking, standing for up to 4 hours, repetitive hand and arm movements, awkward postures, bending, reaching, lifting (5-20 pounds, occasional up to 50 pounds), and continuous interaction in a fast-paced setting. Exposure to cold temperatures (33-55°F) and hot equipment (>135°F) is possible. Basic tools include kitchen utensils, rice cooker, fryer, wrapping equipment, and packaging supplies. The environment is indoors, with potential allergen exposure.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare ingredients such as slicing fish, cutting vegetables, and making sushi rice.
2. Assist in preparing sushi rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and other menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
3. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, following food safety guidelines.
4. Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment to ensure timely food preparation.
5. Uphold high standards of food presentation and customer satisfaction.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience in sushi preparation in a high-volume retail environment.
• Previous experience working as a sushi cook.
• Skill in cutting sashimi and sushi neta.
• Food preparation experience.
• Basic knife skills and familiarity with sushi products.
• Willingness to learn and grow in culinary skills.
