Kumori invites passionate sushi specialists to join our growing team in Washington. We craft fresh sushi, sashimi, nigiri, maki, and specialty rolls in a fast-paced kitchen.

You’ll maintain knife skills, rice handling, and precise plating, while collaborating with BOH and FOH to deliver quality. Availability nights, weekends, and holidays is required; tip share provides earning potential.

Prior sushi experience preferred; bilingual candidates encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sushi, sashimi, nigiri, maki, and specialty rolls to Kumori standards.
• Ensure every plate is fresh, beautiful, and consistent.
• Maintain expert knife skills and proper rice handling.
• Follow portion guidelines to support cost control.
• Set up and maintain a clean, stocked sushi station.
• Coordinate with BOH & FOH teams and follow safety procedures.
• Assist with inventory and report shortages or quality concerns.
• Minimize waste through rotation and handling.
• Uphold grooming standards and punctuality.
• Availability nights, weekends, and holidays.
