Job summary

Flagship Restaurant Group is seeking a Sushi Chef to join our bustling sushi bar in Phoenix. You will prepare sushi and related items according to recipes, maintain quality and safety, and collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure timely service.

Strong knife skills are welcome; prior sushi experience is preferred but training is provided. Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Capable of working in a fast-paced kitchen with attention to quality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sushi and related items according to recipes and specs.
• Follow allergy procedures and prevent cross-contamination.
• Ensure ingredients are fresh, labeled, stored, rotated and safe.
• Lift and move kitchen equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in sushi bar and prep areas.
• Follow all food safety guidelines and proper handwashing.
• Work with kitchen and FOH teams to ensure timely service.
• Assist with daily prep lists, inventory, and ordering for sushi ingredients.
• Provide friendly guest interaction and represent the brand with hospitality.
