Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of professional sushi chef experience in an omakase, fine dining or comparable guest-facing concept.
  • Strong knife skills and proficiency in preparing nigiri, sashimi and hand rolls.
  • Knowledge of fish preparation, cold holding, storage and foodsafety practices.
  • Experience with private dining, catering or offsite events preferred.

  • Organize ingredients, tools and supplies for service at company locations and event sites.

  • Coordinate with culinary, front-of-house and event teams on timing and service needs.
  • Monitor inventory and communicate purchasing or replenishment needs.

Position Overview

Working across company locations, private events and off-site engagements, this role adapts the omakase experience to each setting while preserving the precision and personal connection that define it. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled, self-directed sushi chef who operates confidently wherever service takes place.

Pay

Weekly guarantee based on experience, inclusive of hourly wages and tips.
