Major Food Group in New York City is seeking a motivated Sushi Chef dedicated to hospitality and the highest standards of service. You will expertly prepare sushi, maintain clean work areas, and ensure food safety while collaborating with the Executive Chef and wait staff.

Formación

• Experience as a sushi chef or similar role.

Responsabilidades

• Expertly cut, slice, and fillet fish.
• Inspect produce and seafood quality; notify Executive Chef if quality is sub-standard.
• Prepare various sushi dishes according to guidelines on quality, portion size, presentation, and food safety.
• Maintain a clean work environment to prevent contamination.
• Regularly take inventory of food supplies and products.
• Report problems with kitchen equipment to the manager on duty.
• Sterilize utensils, instruments, and equipment before use.
• Communicate with wait staff to accommodate special requests and allergies.

We are looking for a motivated Sushi Chef. Someone with a strong work ethics, who is passionate about hospitality, and maintaining the highest standards of service and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

• Expertly cutting, slicing, and filleting different types of fish.
• Inspecting the quality of fruits, vegetables, and fish used to prepare sushi dishes and informing the Executive Chef when quality is sub-standard.
• Preparing various types of sushi dishes according to established guidelines on quality, portion size, presentation, and food safety.
• Maintaining a clean work environment in order to prevent food contamination.
• Regularly taking inventory of food supplies and other products.
• Reporting any problems with kitchen equipment to the manager on duty.
• Sterilizing all utensils, instruments, and equipment used in sushi preparation before every use.
• Communicating with wait staff to ensure that special requests and food allergy considerations are met.
