Job description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sushi Chef (Chef de Partie) to help deliver an elevated, authentic dining experience rooted in traditional Japanese techniques and seasonal ingredients. If you’re a detail-oriented, team-driven professional with a respect for the craft and culture of sushi, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do:

  1. Prepare and present high-quality sushi and sashimi dishes with consistency, precision, and artistry
  2. Handle all aspects of seafood prep—filleting, portioning, curing—with deep knowledge of fish varieties and freshness
  3. Master traditional rice preparation and seasoning methods
  4. Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and food safety, especially with raw seafood
  5. Collaborate with senior chefs to execute daily mise en place and service
  6. Maintain inventory of sushi-specific ingredients and tools
  7. Contribute to seasonal and special menu development

What We’re Looking For:

  1. 2+ years of hands-on sushi experience in a professional kitchen
  2. Exceptional knife skills and proficiency in preparing sashimi, nigiri, and maki
  3. Strong foundation in Japanese culinary techniques and ingredient sourcing
  4. Commitment to cleanliness, consistency, and quality
  5. Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
  6. Strong teamwork, time management, and communication skills
  7. Stable work history and a passion for excellence in hospitality
