Job summary

IMEG Corp is seeking a Surveying Intern for a 10-12 week summer program in Manassas, VA. You will support engineers with analysis, design, field work, and documentation while learning surveying and SUE-related tasks in a multidisciplinary setting.

The role emphasizes hands-on project work, mentorship, and exposure to civil design, field observations, and client coordination in a 100% employee-owned firm. This paid internship includes structured mentorship and potential pathway to full-time roles.

Qualifications

• Education Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent required.
• Experience Required: Internship experience preferred.
• Skills include proficiency with CAD software and BIM; ability to communicate clearly in writing and speech.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design portions of projects related to discipline systems according to code and IMEG standards.
• Assist with researching resources for commercially available equipment.
• Assist with client relations, project design notebooks, and documentation for permanent record files.
• Assist with coordinating design and schedules with cross-disciplinary teams.
• Help with documenting design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring progress.
