Job summary
Washington County in Oregon is seeking a Survey Technician III in the Development Review Section of the County Surveyor’s Office. The role focuses on in-office reviews of surveys and plats to ensure compliance with applicable statutes and codes and to support filing and documentation within the County Surveyor’s Office.
The ideal candidate will have an Associate’s Degree in surveying or related field and/or several years of boundary/cadastral surveying experience, plus proficiency with CAD
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in surveying or related field and two years of surveying experience, or four years of surveying experience with lead or training.
- Experience with boundary, cadastral or construction surveying is preferred.
- Knowledge of statutes relating to surveying, right-of-way, and platting.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-office reviews of surveys and plats for compliance with statutes and codes.
- Assist in filing documents in the County Surveyor’s Office.
- Use survey instruments and CAD software to support survey work.
- Communicate findings effectively in writing and verbally.
