Job summary

AKS Engineering & Forestry, LLC is seeking a Survey Office Technician to process daily field data, collaborate with project teams, and support a range of private and public projects in Oregon. You will engage with survey crews, project surveyors, engineers, and managers to ensure accurate records and timely deliverables.

Ideal candidates hold a land surveying degree, 2–5 years of experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD and Trimble tools.

Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor of Science degree in Land Surveying or a related field.
2–5 years surveying experience with transportation, utility, residential, and site development projects.
Knowledge of land surveying techniques, control, and construction surveying.
Familiarity with Oregon/Washington land surveying laws and regulations.
Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with Trimble equipment and software.

Responsibilities

Prepare survey documents (plats, exhibits, boundary surveys) using Civil 3D.
Conduct survey research to support project accuracy and completeness.
Reduce survey data with Trimble Business Center.
Import/export field data for Civil 3D in support of field work.
Create topographic maps showing property features and ground models.
Perform office calculations and support field crews for staking and monumentation.
Prepare legal descriptions of real property.
