Job summary

Dynamic Engineering Consultants, PC is seeking a Survey Technician to assist in land surveying duties and support for surveyors and engineers. Responsibilities include site, boundary, topographic, and subdivision surveys, data preparation for field crews, and post-survey analyses.

Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and Land Development Desktop is preferred. The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, 0–2 years of surveying experience, a valid driver's license, and flexibility for early

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Engineering and/or Surveying preferred.
• 0-2 years' surveying experience.
• Flexible start times, especially early mornings.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to operate personal/company vehicle.
• Familiar with AutoCAD and Land Development Desktop.
• Knowledge of field survey operations, engineering and construction industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Project.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Independent and critical thinking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform selected survey assignments quickly and accurately.
• Conduct site, boundary, topographic, plot plans, roadway utility and subdivision surveys.
• Prepare and set up survey data for field crews.
• Reduce field notes to base maps.
• Review grade sheets.
• Conduct post-survey data analysis.
• Complete construction layout calculations.
• Conduct grade sheet computations.
• Boundary survey resolution.
• ALTA/ASCM land title survey preparation.
• Topographic/volume analysis.
• Construction as-built surveys and/or layout sketches.
• Prepare Metes & Bounds descriptions.
• Project datum conversion/transformation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
