Job summary

SAM, a nationwide leader in geospatial and construction-phase solutions, is seeking a Survey Project Manager in Texas. You will oversee land survey projects, manage budgets, schedules, and client communications, and lead field and office teams across multiple projects.

Responsibilities include proposal development, staffing plans, and business development activities, with opportunities to interact with sub-consultants and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience in a professional or management capacity.
• Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience in project/phase management for large scale projects.
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Geopack, MS Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to clearly define assignments/deliverables to team members.
• Ability to oversee, mentor and motivate a project team.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and problem solve on the fly.
• Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining teamwork and collaboration.
• Active Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) license in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Manage land survey projects from start to finish, while ensuring services meet quality standards and client specifications.
• Plan and implement procedures to maximize operating efficiency.
• Develop and manage proposals, budgets, schedules, billings, and contracts.
• Sign and seal plats, field notes and control drawings if required.
• Establish work plans and staffing for multiple land survey projects.
• Pursue business development opportunities and maintain client relationships.
• Present to clients and stakeholders.
• Interface with sub-consultants and other business relationships.
• Provide support to other operational units as needed.
• Report financial status including AR/WIP and billing cycles.
• Represent SAM in meetings and trade shows as needed.
• Perform other tasks to support SAM's strategic goals.
