Job summary

LHH is seeking a Survey Project Manager to lead land surveying projects across the Virginia Beach region. You will oversee field crews, CAD teams, and project budgets while maintaining exceptional client relationships.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of surveying experience, a PLS or equivalent license preferred, and strong leadership and communication skills to drive project delivery and growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of land surveying experience.
• Experience managing surveying projects and personnel.
• Knowledge of boundary, topographic, ALTA, and construction surveys.
• Experience reviewing plats, legal descriptions, and survey deliverables.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson, Trimble, or related software.

Responsibilities

• Manage land surveying projects from proposal through final delivery.
• Oversee field crews, office staff, and CAD teams.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, developers, contractors, and engineers.
• Review boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, construction, and as-built surveys.
• Ensure accuracy, quality control, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate project priorities across multiple active assignments.
• Mentor and develop survey personnel.
• Support client growth and long-term business relationships.
