Job summary

Pennoni in Virginia Beach is seeking a Survey Division Manager to lead our surveying team in Hampton Roads. This full-time, on-site leadership role steers field operations, QA/QC, budgeting, and client relations across boundary, ALTA, topographic, and utility surveys.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years in field surveying, 3+ years in project management, and a VA LS credential, plus proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, RTS, GPS and related tech.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience working in Field / Land Surveying.
• 3+ years of professional experience in land surveying project management.
• Active Land Surveyor’s License (VA) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide management & administrative support for surveying operations (boundary, title, ALTA, topographic, aerial, etc.).
• Review, approve, and seal technical documents and calculations.
• Perform QA/QC review of survey plans, plots, and descriptions.
• Conduct site visits and field observations as needed.
• Guide internal departments on survey-related project issues.
• Monitor group financial performance and communicate with clients; generate new work.
