LJA Engineering is seeking a Party Chief to transport, set up surveying instruments, and prepare job sites for survey work. The role involves operating Trimble/Topcon GPS equipment, level loops, and ensuring accurate topographic data in various environments.

The position emphasizes strong communication, field coordination, and meticulous note-keeping, with opportunities to grow within a firm known for employee ownership and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication skills both oral and written.
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external clients.

Responsibilities

• Proficiently run surveying equipment (Trimble/Topcon GPS) with data collectors.
• Use levels to run loops for vertical control and accuracy in topographic surveys.
• Locate property corners and prepare metes-and-bounds sketches or field notes.
• Capture photos and document measurements for property corners.
• Upload text files to data collectors and prepare CAD-ready data.
