Job summary

Coleman Company, Inc. in Savannah, GA is seeking a Survey Intern to learn land surveying across field and office. You will split time between field crews and the survey office, gaining experience from setup to plat production and topographic surveys.

You will work with AutoCAD and Civil 3D, support drone surveys, and receive mentorship from licensed surveyors while building foundational skills for licensure.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a land surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or related technical program.
• Field surveying is outdoor work; ability to work in coastal Georgia weather conditions.
• Willingness to learn, ask questions, carry equipment, and work with a field crew.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate survey equipment: total stations, GPS/GNSS receivers, data collectors, levels.
• Collect and organize accurate field data; perform basic measurements and calculations.
• Assist with construction staking; support UAS drone survey missions and data processing.
• Process field data into digital deliverables; prepare plats and topographic surveys.
