Job summary

Coleman Company, Inc. seeks a Survey Intern in Savannah, GA for Summer 2027. You will split time between field crews and the survey office, learning the full life of a survey—from setup and data collection to reducing notes into plat or topographic deliverables.

Responsibilities span boundary/topographic surveys, staking, drone survey planning, and processing data with AutoCAD and Civil 3D. No prior surveying experience required; training provided.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Land Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related technical program (required).
• Interest in land surveying as a career and licensure pursuit.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• In the Field: set up and operate survey equipment under supervision.
• Record and organize field data; assist with staking and site layout.
• Support UAS drone survey missions and maintain field gear.
• In the Office: process field data into digital deliverables using AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
• Assist with plats, topographic surveys, as-built and tree surveys.
