Job summary

Pape-Dawson is seeking Survey Interns in our Georgia offices for the summer of 2027. The available locations are Marietta Newnan, Canton, Duluth, and Calhoun.

The Survey Intern will collaborate with field staff, CAD technicians, civil engineers, and licensed land surveyors to develop land survey projects. The internship emphasizes hands-on fieldwork, data processing, and plan development, with exposure to multiple surveying disciplines and software tools.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited program in Surveying, Geospatial Sciences, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication, and critical thinking skills.
• 1+ years of experience with field surveying or taking surveying classes.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Exposure to GEOPAK, Open Roads, MicroStation, and drone flights a plus.

Responsibilities

• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D software to prepare boundary and topographic surveys along with subdivision plats.
• Process, extract, and analyze field survey data.
• Collaborate with project surveyors and project managers to create plans and survey base mapping.
• Perform quality assurance and standards checks on projects.
• Field work including site inspections, research, and quality assurance as needed.
• Additional related duties as needed.
