Job summary

DCCM is seeking an Instrumentman to join its surveying team in Houston, TX. You will operate and maintain survey instruments and work closely with the Party Chief to deliver accurate data for various projects.

The role requires 1–2 years of field surveying experience and familiarity with modern equipment. You will document field data and support construction layout while adapting to outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; surveying training is a plus.
  • 1–2 years of field surveying experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with modern survey equipment and data collection software.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and maintain survey equipment, including total stations, GPS units, and levels.
  • Assist the Party Chief in conducting topographic, boundary, and construction surveys.
  • Record and document accurate field data and observations.
  • Place stakes, flags, and markers for construction layouts or property boundaries.
  • Ensure proper calibration and care of all survey instruments.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to support project goals and timelines.
