Job summary

Landpoint in Houston, TX is seeking an Instrument Operator to support field surveying teams. You'll set up and operate surveying instruments, collect field measurements, and help maintain equipment.

The position reports to Crew Chief and collaborates with the survey crew to meet project objectives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in land surveying is a plus.
• Experience as a Survey Instrument Operator is advantageous.
• Familiarity with surveying instruments and data collection tools.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Must communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate surveying instruments in the field.
• Assist Crew Chief and crew with instrument setup and operation.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment.
• Transfer field data to digital formats.
• Adhere to safety protocols and OSHA requirements.
• Travel to various job sites; outdoor work.
