Job summary

Arora and Associates, PC is seeking an Instrument Operator to join our Land Surveying Department in Lawrenceville, NJ. The candidate will operate GNSS-RTN receivers, total stations, and mobile LiDAR systems to collect high-precision geospatial data for bridge and roadway projects.

The role requires field travel within New Jersey and New York, strong teamwork, safety awareness, and the ability to prepare data for office staff with QA/QC support.

Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years’ experience operating surveying equipment.
• Experience with GNSS, total stations and data collection.
• Willingness to travel for fieldwork in NJ and NY.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Operate GNSS-RTN receivers for high-precision positioning.
• Use total stations for conventional data collection.
• Manage field data, metadata and environmental conditions.
• Collaborate with project staff to confirm survey requirements.
• Post-process data and prepare for office staff, QA/QC.
