Job summary

Arora and Associates, PC is seeking a Licensed Land Surveyor to join our Land Surveying Department in Lawrenceville, NJ. The candidate will plan, coordinate, and manage survey operations for transportation projects, oversee field crews, and ensure QA/QC across data collection and processing workflows.

You will develop survey methodologies, coordinate with clients and engineers, and ensure compliance with NJDOT and NYSDOT standards.

Qualifications

• Professional survey experience in transportation projects is required.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities in a team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage survey operations for infrastructure projects (bridges, highways, transportation corridors) in NJ.
• Oversee field crews using GNSS-RTN, conventional total stations, Mobile LiDAR, and terrestrial laser scanners.
• Define survey scopes, deliverables, schedules, and technical requirements with clients and design teams.
• Develop and review project-specific survey methodologies compliant with NYSDOT, NJDOT, and local standards.
• Ensure data accuracy via field QA/QC and validate control networks with proper state plane coordinate integration.
• Prepare technical documentation and support data processing workflows (point clouds, surface generation, deliverables).
• Mentor and train field and office staff in advanced survey techniques.
