Bolton & Menk, Inc. in Bismarck, ND is seeking a Survey Field Technician to join our team. With over 75 years of experience, we provide community infrastructure solutions across the Midwest and beyond.

You will assist with planning and organizing survey field activities, including construction staking, boundary location, ALTA and topography, and you will document all phases of survey work. Travel to project sites is required.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Land Surveying Technology, Civil Engineering Technology OR 3 years of relevant surveying experience.
• Ability to perform tasks and solve problems with a high degree of independence.
• Excellent time management, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Trimble equipment and software.
• Experience working in CAD and survey software (AutoCAD, Civil3D, Microstation).
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform field assignments including construction staking, boundary location, ALTA, and topography for various project types.
• Collect and process field measurements and data for engineering and surveying projects.
• Operate survey instruments (i.e. Total Stations, Data Collector, levels and GPS equipment) and resolve operation issues.
• Research existing survey and engineering records.
• Organize and transfer files between data collectors and internal project folders.
• Travel frequently to work sites and other project related locations.
