Spicer Group is seeking a Survey Crew Chief / Party Chief to join its geospatial service line in Georgia. The role focuses on leading survey crews, coordinating with project teams, and driving accurate staking for major infrastructure projects.

The candidate will leverage GNSS, robotic total stations, and cutting-edge surveying tools to deliver quality results. The position emphasizes independent supervision, safety compliance, and strong communication with clients and staff.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Crew Chief role and field leadership.
  • Experience with GNSS, robotic total stations, and modern surveying tools.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding field work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and supervise field survey crews on small and large projects.
  • Plan daily activities and coordinate with clients and contractors.
  • Prepare data logs, staking reports, and field notes.
  • Maintain equipment and vehicles in top condition.
  • Ensure safety procedures and company policies are followed.

This is a unique opportunity that requires an individual with experience and understanding of construction projects and construction staking operations in support of major infrastructure projects. This person must be driven, hardworking and highly motivated. Support will be provided to leverage and help grow the surveying practice using the latest in surveying technology, including UAS, mobile LiDAR, static laser scanning, single and multibeam sonar, metrology and industrial measurement tools, and the very latest in robotics and GNSS surveying.
