Spicer Group Inc. is seeking an energetic Survey Crew Chief / Party Chief to join our Geospatial Service Line in Georgia.

You will lead field surveying activities for major infrastructure projects, leveraging GNSS, robotic total stations, and advanced surveying tools while coordinating with staff and clients. The role emphasizes independent work, safety adherence, and the ability to plan and execute multiple project schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Advanced knowledge of the Crew Chief role.
• Ability to lead and direct a group of survey technicians.
• Strong communication skills with staff and clients.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in all types of weather.
• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical support under supervision of senior staff.
• Leads field survey activities for projects of varying size.
• Adheres to company policies and procedures.
• Performs field surveys per standards and best practices.
• Plans daily activities for multiple projects.
• Maintains equipment and vehicles.
• Prepares logs, notes, and reports.
• Ensures safety rules and PPE usage.
• Communicates progress to crew and office staff.
• Works independently using robotic instruments and GNSS.
