Job summary

Spicer Group Inc. is seeking a Survey Crew Chief/Party Chief to lead field surveying on major infrastructure projects. The role involves using GNSS, robotic total stations, UAS, and other advanced surveying tools, while coordinating with staff and contractors to ensure accurate staking and data collection.

The position requires strong leadership, project awareness, and the ability to work in varying weather conditions, with potential for career growth within our Geospatial Service Line.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Advanced knowledge of the Crew Chief role.
• Ability to lead and direct survey technicians.
• Strong communication with staff and clients.
• Physically demanding work in all weather.
• Lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical support under limited supervision to survey staff.
• Directs field survey activities for projects of varying size.
• Adheres to company policies and geospatial procedures.
• Performs field survey computations and data handling.
• Operates GNSS and robotic total station equipment.
