Job summary

Burkhardt is seeking a Survey Crew Chief to lead field crews in ALTA/NSPS, boundary, and topo surveys across southwest Ohio. You will direct field procedures, ensure data accuracy, and maintain safety and client service standards in a hands-on environment.

The role emphasizes leadership, precise data collection, and coordination with office staff for proposals and planning, with occasional travel and a focus on quality results.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of land surveying field experience.
• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot certification.
• Experience with ALTA/NSPS surveys, boundary and topo surveys, FEMA certifications, construction staking.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct all survey field work, selecting equipment and procedures.
• Ensure field data accuracy to meet project objectives.
• Verify construction staking accuracy and perform checks.
• Represent the company in client and contractor communications in the field.
• Lead crew members with focus on safety, cost control, and efficiency.
• Operate survey vehicles as needed and maintain field standards.
• Assist office with proposals and project planning.
• Document field work and prepare data for office use.
• Train and mentor junior team members.
• Attend project meetings and record notes.
