Job summary

Woolpert is hiring a Survey Crew Chief to lead our field survey team in Ohio, overseeing boundary, topographic, construction, and as-built surveys. You will operate total stations, GNSS, laser scanners, levels, and data collectors to ensure accurate data collection and adherence to standards.

The role emphasizes leadership, safety, and collaboration with the Survey Team Leader to meet project goals, with travel and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Proficient in operating survey instruments and software.
• Ability to travel overnight and work overtime as needed.
• Must pass pre-employment driver’s license background check and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead a survey crew to conduct field surveys including boundary, topographic, construction, and as-built surveys.
• Operate and maintain survey equipment (total stations, GNSS, laser scanners, levels, data collectors).
• Prepare field notes and sketches documenting survey activities.
• Ensure data meets project and company quality requirements.
• Support project progress, troubleshoot and manage timelines and budgets.
