Job summary

Fishbeck is seeking a Survey Crew Chief to join its surveying team in Texas. You will handle topographic mapping, construction staking, boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, and subdivisions, guiding fieldwork and ensuring quality data collection.

The role requires 3+ years in surveying and the ability to work on construction sites with a safety-first approach. We offer a path to growth within an employee-owned firm and potential hybrid schedules.

• Record survey measurements and descriptive data using notes, drawings, and sketches.
• Conduct property research and collect field data for boundary surveys.
• Process and organize survey data to create boundary, topographic, right-of-way, and as-built surveys.
• Report directly to a Senior Professional Land Surveyor.

Job description

Working with our Survey team, you will perform a variety of surveying tasks, including topographic mapping, construction staking, boundary/control surveying, ALTA/NSPS surveys, and subdivisions.

What You’ll Do

Minimum Physical Requirements

Ability to walk, climb, and maneuver outdoors to conduct field surveys; lift and carry survey equipment; and operate a company motor vehicle to travel to work sites. Outdoor work in inclement weather is necessary. Indoor work involves using a computer and other standard office equipment, sitting, standing, and light lifting. Visual acuity is essential.
