Job summary

Surveying And Mapping, LLC (SAM) is seeking a Survey Technician to support office and field staff by processing data and delivering final land surveying project deliverables. You will report to the Project Manager and perform technical tasks using the latest A/E/C industry technology.

This role helps increase survey efficiency and client satisfaction, with on-the-job training, opportunities to grow, and exposure to AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit, and related software.

Qualifications

• Strong desire to learn; on-the-job training provided.
• Proficiency in technical math; geometry and trigonometry are a plus.
• Prior land surveying experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process data to SAM standards, ensuring accuracy and sufficiency.
• Monitor field crews' production and perform QA checks.
• Carry out initial QC of field deliverables per standards.
• Coordinate with supervisor to meet client-specific demands.

Your Impact at SAM

As a Survey Technician, you will support office and field staff by processing incoming information and producing final land surveying project deliverables. You will report to the Project Manager and perform technical tasks utilizing the latest technology in the A/E/C industry. You will help increase land survey project efficiency and client satisfaction by:

• Processing data utilizing SAM standards, including the evaluation of accuracy and sufficiency, all while ensuring compliance to applicable land survey project and industry principles under the direction of your supervisor
• Monitoring field crew’s production and quality assurance
• Carrying out initial QC of field deliverables according to standards and best practices
• Coordinating with supervisor to ensure client-specific demands are being met

What You Bring to SAM

• Strong desire to learn -little to no experience required; on-the-job training provided
• Strong computer and technical skills; AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit or similar application is a plus
• Prior experience working in land surveying is a plus
• Proficiency in technical math; Geometry and Trigonometry are a plus
