Job summary

Surveying And Mapping, LLC (SAM) is a nationwide leader in geospatial and construction‑phase solutions, delivering land surveying, aerial mapping, SUE, UC, GIS, BIM, and CEI services with 50+ offices and 1,600 professionals.

As a Survey Technician, you will support office and field staff by processing information and producing final deliverables, reporting to the Project Manager and using the latest technology to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Strong desire to learn; little to no experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Strong computer and technical skills; AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit or similar application is a plus.
• Proficiency in technical math; Geometry and Trigonometry are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process data utilizing SAM standards, evaluating accuracy and sufficiency, ensuring compliance with land survey principles under supervision.
• Monitor field crew’s production and quality assurance.
• Carry out initial QC of field deliverables according to standards and best practices.
• Coordinate with supervisor to ensure client-specific demands are met.

Your Impact at SAM

As a Survey Technician, you will support office and field staff by processing incoming information and producing final land surveying project deliverables. You will report to the Project Manager and perform technical tasks utilizing the latest technology in the A/E/C industry. You will help increase land survey project efficiency and client satisfaction by:

• Processing data utilizing SAM standards, including the evaluation of accuracy and sufficiency, all while ensuring compliance to applicable land survey project and industry principles under the direction of your supervisor
• Monitoring field crew’s production and quality assurance
• Carrying out initial QC of field deliverables according to standards and best practices
• Coordinating with supervisor to ensure client-specific demands are being met

What You Bring to SAM

• Strong desire to learn -little to no experience required; on-the-job training provided
