Job summary

Surveying And Mapping, LLC (SAM) is seeking a Survey Technician to support field and office teams in processing data and delivering final land surveying deliverables. You will report to the Project Manager and help increase efficiency and client satisfaction with SAM’s advanced geospatial workflows.

The role emphasizes learning on the job, strong math skills, and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, or Revit, with opportunities for CAD training and career development.

Responsibilities

• Assist field and office staff in processing data and delivering final survey products.

Your Impact at SAM

As a Survey Technician, you will support office and field staff by processing incoming information and producing final land surveying project deliverables. You will report to the Project Manager and perform technical tasks utilizing the latest technology in the A/E/C industry. You will help increase land survey project efficiency and client satisfaction by:

• Processing data utilizing SAM standards, including the evaluation of accuracy and sufficiency, all while ensuring compliance to applicable land survey project and industry principles under the direction of your supervisor


• Monitoring field crew’s production and quality assurance


• Carrying out initial QC of field deliverables according to standards and best practices


• Coordinating with supervisor to ensure client-specific demands are being met

What You Bring to SAM

• Strong desire to learn -little to no experience required; on-the-job training provided


• Strong computer and technical skills; AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit or similar application is a plus


• Proficiency in technical math; Geometry and Trigonometry are a plus
