Job summary

SAM, a national geospatial and construction-phase solutions leader, is hiring a Survey Technician. You will support office and field staff by processing incoming information and producing final land surveying deliverables, reporting to the Project Manager and applying SAM standards with the latest A/E/C technology.

You will monitor field production, perform initial QC of deliverables, and coordinate with supervision to meet client demands while expanding your skills with on-the-job training and

Qualifications

• Strong desire to learn - on-the-job training provided.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit is a plus.
• Prior experience in land surveying is a plus.

Your Impact at SAM

As a Survey Technician, You Will Support Office And Field Staff By Processing Incoming Information And Producing Final Land Surveying Project Deliverables. You Will Report To The Project Manager And Perform Technical Tasks Utilizing The Latest Technology In The A/E/C Industry. You Will Help Increase Land Survey Project Efficiency And Client Satisfaction By

• Processing data utilizing SAM standards, including the evaluation of accuracy and sufficiency, all while ensuring compliance to applicable land survey project and industry principles under the direction of your supervisor
• Monitoring field crew’s production and quality assurance
• Carrying out initial QC of field deliverables according to standards and best practices
• Coordinating with supervisor to ensure client-specific demands are being met

What You Bring to SAM

• Strong desire to learn -little to no experience required; on-the-job training provided
• Strong computer and technical skills; AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit or similar application is a plus
• Prior experience working in land surveying is a plus
• Proficiency in technical math; Geometry and Trigonometry are a plus
