Job summary

Baird, Hampton & Brown is seeking a Survey CAD Technician to assist the RPLS with land surveying duties and draft boundary, topographic, easement, and ALTA/NSPS surveys for civil engineering projects. Field work may be required to support data collection and verification.

Responsibilities include preparing CAD drawings, reviewing field data, and coordinating with project teams to ensure accurate deliverables and timely project completion.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience as survey technician with AutoCAD Civil3D.
• Experience with Trimble Robotic Total Stations, Trimble Data Collectors, and GPS equipment.
• Ability to drive to project sites and work with a multi-discipline team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare boundary, topographic, and ALTA/NSPS survey drawings using Civil 3D.
• Draft subdivision plats and easement exhibits under RPLS supervision.
• Process field data from total stations, GNSS, and data collectors.
• Perform deed, plat, easement, right-of-way and public-record research.
• Assist with boundary analysis by compiling record information and field data.
• Calculate survey points, alignments, areas, and staking information.
• Prepare field files, stakeout data, and survey sketches for crews.
• Review field data for accuracy and discrepancies before drafting.
• Maintain CAD standards and survey databases.
