Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a skilled Survey CAD Technician to join our team in Birmingham. The role focuses on processing field survey data with AutoCAD and MicroStation, and developing 3D terrain models for design using InRoads/OpenRoads.

You will draft plans and plats, ensure CAD standards and GDOT requirements are met, and collaborate with designers and project managers to deliver accurate drawings and timely project outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 5+ years CAD and survey software experience.
• Minimum 1 year field and office surveying, with hands-on AutoCAD experience.
• GDOT standards experience.
• Experience with survey software and equipment is essential.
• At least 1 year of MicroStation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process field survey data using MicroStation and/or AutoCAD to create survey drawings.
• Develop 3D digital terrain models from field data using InRoads/OpenRoads or similar software.
• Draft and design for various land surveying projects while adhering to CAD standards, including GDOT requirements.
• Collaborate with designers and project managers to deliver accurate drawings and efficient results.
• Maintain data quality by checking calculations, plats, and worksheets.
