Strong collaboration with project teams and field crews is essential to deliver high-quality deliverables. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of CAD/survey software experience, knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroStation, and familiarity with GDOT processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of CAD and survey software experience.
• 5+ years of land surveying experience.
• Minimum 1 year field and office surveying experience, with hands-on AutoCAD.
• Experience with GDOT standards and processes.
• Experience with survey software and equipment is essential.
• At least 1 year using MicroStation (preferred).
• Knowledge of technical drafting; Associate Degree preferred.
• Ability to work with the Survey Team - Project Managers, Survey Crews, PLS, etc.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Process field survey data using MicroStation and/or AutoCAD to create survey drawings.
• Develop 3D terrain models from field data using InRoads/OpenRoads or similar software.
• Draft and design for land surveying projects, adhering to CAD standards and GDOT requirements.
• Collaborate with designers and project managers to deliver accurate results.
• Ensure field crews collect necessary data through clear communication.
• Prepare and compile plans, as-builts, and final plats.
• Revise plats/drawings based on supervisor feedback.
• Assist in preliminary layouts, specifications, and documentation for survey projects.
• Conduct basic surveys (closings, foundations, elevation certificates).
• Occasionally assist in the field to verify drawings against conditions.
• Maintain accuracy by checking calculations, plats, and worksheets.
• Support office staff, clients, and cross-department teams.
