Job summary

ZenaTech Inc. in Tucson, AZ, is seeking a Survey CAD Technician to join our growing team. You will work with multi-disciplined survey crews to develop civil layout drawings in a 3D model environment, producing records of survey, ALTA and topographic maps.

Ideal candidates have Associate's degree or higher in drafting or related field and at least 5 years of civil/survey CAD drafting experience, with proficiency in Civil 3D, Sokkia Software, and Excel. This is a full-time, on-site role.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of civil engineering and surveying design workflows.
• Experience with survey maps and engineering plans.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed survey drawings with Civil 3D and Sokkia.
• Produce Records of Survey, topo, ALTA maps and crew calculations.
• Interpret maps, plans, notes, and specifications.
• Collaborate with surveyors to maintain model accuracy.
• Use Civil 3D and Sokkia tools for land surveying data.
• Handle complex drafting tasks with minimal supervision.
• Follow mapping standards like FEMA, ALTA, PLSS.
• Review survey drawings for compliance with specs.
• Communicate with staff, clients, jurisdictions, and consultants.
• Maintain productivity in a fast-paced team environment.
