Job summary

Delaware North Gaming is seeking a full-time Surveillance Officer for Wheeling Island Casino in Wheeling, West Virginia. You will conduct facility-wide surveillance camera operations to protect guests and team members, monitoring all areas and producing timely reports.

A state gaming license and solid communication skills are required. We offer weekly pay, opportunities for training and development, employee discounts, and flexible schedules.

Qualifications

• 1 year of related experience or more.
• Ability to obtain and maintain state gaming license.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including crowd management.
• Computer skills: email, word processing, spreadsheets, database basics.
• Basic knowledge or training in investigations.
• No high school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all areas of the property, including gaming, cages, food & beverage, and overall security.
• Produce written reports and logs of observed violations and activities promptly.
• Ensure cameras and computer systems are operational at all times.
• Ensure compliance with state racing and gaming regulations and policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of surveillance information, including camera coverage and investigations.

The opportunity

Delaware North Gaming is seeking a full-time Surveillance Officer to join our team at Wheeling Island Casino in Wheeling, West Virginia. As a Surveillance Officer, you will be conducting facility-wide surveillance camera operations to assist in the protection and safety of the property for guests and team members.

Pay

$16.00 - $16.00 / hour

What will you do?

• Monitor all areas of the property, including but not limited to gaming and cage activity, food and beverage activity, and security of the facility and the entire property


• Produce written reports and logs on any observed violations and illegal activity in a timely manner


• Ensure that all cameras and computer systems are operational at all times


• Ensure that all state racing and gaming regulations and polices are followed


• Comply with confidentiality regulations regarding all surveillance information including camera coverage, investigations, and proprietary material

More about you

• Minimum of 1 year related experience


• Able to obtain and maintain state gaming license


• Good communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage crowds effectively


• Computer skills including e-mail, word processing, spreadsheets, routine database activity, and record keeping


• Basic knowledge and/or training in investigations


• No high school diploma or GED required

Physical requirements

• Ability to hear and speak to communicate on two-way radio


• Ability to sit for long periods of time


• Work environment may consist of a dark area viewing video monitors for entire shift


• Able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
