Job summary

Delaware North is seeking full-time Security Officers to join our team at Wheeling Island Casino in Wheeling, West Virginia. As a Security Guard, you will help maintain a safe environment for guests and team members while upholding company standards.

You’ll work evenings, overnights and weekends with a focus on guest service, de-escalation, and reporting incidents. We offer weekly pay, benefits, and opportunities for training and career growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment preferred.
• Ability to defuse difficult situations and handle guest issues professionally.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper admittance by checking IDs to the gaming floor.
• Conduct cash escorts as required.
• Observe, report, and address procedural violations and illegal activity.
• Maintain crowd control as needed.
• Defuse guest profanity and resolve issues professionally.

More about you

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to be licensed by State Gaming Commission
• Ability to defuse difficult and sometimes emotionally charged situations when handling guest issues or complaints
• Ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times

Physical requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to communicate through two way radio
• Bending, stooping, lifting and carrying occasionally
• Vision sufficient to perform duties day or night
• Exposure to an occasionally smoky and loud environment
