Job summary

Bally's Lincoln Casino Resort in Rhode Island is seeking a vigilant Surveillance Operator to monitor activities inside and around the casino using CCTV and access control systems. You will record events, identify suspicious activity, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires high school diploma or GED and experience with surveillance equipment; casino experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and record activities using surveillance equipment.
• Monitor all areas for suspicious activity and health and safety issues.
• Check for blind spots and camera outages or tampering.
• Log activities observed in the surveillance dispatch log.
• Operate surveillance camera switching and related equipment; manage dispatch system.
• Determine call priorities and dispatch security, police, fire, and maintenance as needed.
• Dispatch security personnel and monitor conduct throughout the facility.
• Familiarize with Twin River department procedures and maintain confidentiality.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and record activities being conducted in and around the gaming establishment using video cameras, monitors, digital recorders, access control systems, computer dispatch, video printers, switches, and other equipment used for surveillance.
• Monitor all areas of the property, both indoor and outdoor for suspicious activity, health and safety issues, evidence of theft, cheating, scams, and procedural violations.
• Check for blind spots and camera outage or tampering.
• Log all activities observed by surveillance into the surveillance dispatch log.
• Understand and operate all Surveillance camera switching, reprogramming equipment, and use of all computer equipment.
• Controls Surveillance dispatch system for all calls to Control.
• Determines Control call priorities and dispatches security, police, fire, traffic officers, maintenance and facilities during emergencies as necessary.
• Dispatches Security officers as needed throughout the facility and monitors conduct.
• Maintain familiarity with all appropriate Twin River department procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality within the established guidelines.

High school diploma or GED equivalent

• Experience working with video cameras, access control systems, video printers and other equipment used in surveillance
• Previous casino experience is preferred but not required
• Basic computer software and hardware knowledge desired
• Previous experience in loss prevention preferred but not required

• Frequent sitting, speaking, seeing, hearing, and listening
• Frequently follow directions, attention to detail
• Occasional twisting, kneeling, handling, wrist motion, bending, and working in tight spaces
