Job summary

State of South Carolina's Department of Administration, Division of State Agencies Support Services, is seeking a State Warehouse Customer Service Specialist in West Columbia to assist customers with surplus property purchases and to support the manager in screening, receiving, selling, and marketing the program.

The role requires a high school diploma and warehouse experience, on‑call shifts, routine driving, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Willingness to perform on‑call shifts and driver duties.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and operate common warehouse equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting surplus property and completing purchases.
• Promote the Surplus Property Office to customers and the public.
• Keep the warehouse clean and organized for easy customer access.
• Change discount signs on Friday afternoons for the upcoming week.
• Attend on‑site and off‑site auctions when available.
• Perform other duties to support Surplus Property’s success.
